A new friend
As part of our new goals of eating healthier (we've both got a few pounds to peel off) and cooking more at home, we got ourselves a new toy... er, tool! Everyone, meet...

I never thought much about rice before this - how hard is it to make rice, anyway? But this little rice cooker makes great rice - and with stirfried veggies and/or meat, a quick and healthy meal! Yum!
Now we just need to get Mr. Bentos like Jessica.

Very nice! I love my rice cooker and can't imagine how I lived without it before. Yours is ever-so-fancy, though! And fuzzy, too. :) Congrats on your new addition!
It should have a smiley face on the front and sing in Japanese about candy or kittens! Does it do a little dance?
It does not, sadly, dance. But it does sing to us, when it is starting up and when it's done. :-) And we need a "Hello Kitty" sticker for the front!
